Daniel J. Trevisan, age 78, passed away on August 19, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born and raised in Chicago’s Roseland Neighborhood, Dan graduated from Fenger High School in 1963. In 1969, Dan and his wife Sharon moved to Orland Park to raise their family, where they have remained longtime residents. Dan proudly served as Sergeant for the Illinois State Police for 30 years, where fellow District 15 officers became family. Dan loved to spend his summers fishing on Lake Chetac with his family and friends at their cabins in Birchwood, Wisconsin. Dan also enjoyed hunting with friends and watching old western classics on tv. Loving husband of 56 years to Sharon nee Gleason. Adored Father to Vicki (Dan) Dean, Tina Trevisan, Tony Trevisan, and Princess, his loyal German Shorthaired Pointer. Beloved Papa to Stephanie Dean, Tia Sticha-Trevisan, Deanne (Patrick) Olsen and Michelle (Christopher) Agena. Great-grandfather to Charlotte Dean-Olsen, Oliver Olsen, Geralyn Agena and Gunnar Agena. Youngest child of the late Dima nee DeMarchi and Antonio Trevisan, who immigrated to Chicago from Northern Italy in the 1920’s. Cherished brother to Lorraine (Robert) Brezich, Lydia (Jerry) Olszewski, the late Enso (Judith) Trevisan, Dino Trevisan and Evo John Trevisan. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Great friend to many, most of whom he considered family. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home located at 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave) in Chicago Heights on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Worked with Dan and his brother Evo as a Trooper in D15,Dan was a credit to the ISP.He was professional and loved his family.He will not be forgotten.He loved his trips to Italy and his Wisconsin summer home.May God Bless him and his family.Rest in peace Sgt Trevisan,from the troops D-15.
