I, along with my family are so very sorry to hear about Dr. Wurzer. She was our family vet forever! I remember one of my dogs had cancer, multiple myoloma. She mentioned we could try chemo to see how it goes. I decided to try it only if it gave him a good quality of life. Duke was very smart and wouldn't get out of the car since he often need blood drawn. Dr Wurzer climbed in the back of my car to draw his blood! How many Vets would do that? He lived a good quality of life for another 1 1/2 years. When we had to put him down she said thank you for giving him a couple of years more with a good quality of life! God Bless you Dr Wurzer and I'm sure there are many of our pets that are surrounding you in Heaven

The news of Andrea‘s passing came as a shock to all of us, her German cousins of the Wurzer family. We will always cherish the fond memories of the many gorgious, blithe holidays that we were so fortunate to be able to spend together in Bavaria, back in our childhood. Her unexpected passing has left us deeply saddened. She will always remain in our hearts. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Tip, Ralph and everyone who loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Andrea.

For 60 years we took our dogs to the Chicago Heights Animal Hospital. First, to Dr. Wurzer, Dr. Andrea Wurzer's father. We saw Dr. Andrea Wurzer blossom from a young veterinarian to a wise, brilliant and compassionate vet. Dr. Andrea would personally call to check on how our dogs were doing a few days after visits. We once boarded a dog who was so distraught that she wouldn't eat. Dr. Wurzer brought her a hamburger to get her to eat. She will be missed so much.

So very sorry to hear about Andrea's death. I enjoyed working for her nearly ten years. She was a very kind and giving person. Her mom and dad were just as kind and caring. The animal kingdom will miss her dearly! I will also miss her. She was just a wonderful person. My deepest condolences to Tipper.
