Little Brother,  I cannot believe you are gone,  No matter what, EVERYONE could count on you being there if they needed ANYTHING; you didn't hesitate to help people out, expecting nothing in return.  You went to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to help.  You came up to the hospital when I had my heart surgery, staying all night, until I you knew I was stable.  I will miss our talks, fun trips & pranks we played when you, Candy, Carm & I went to Vegas.  The races won't be the same without you cooking D&D sausage on Fridays at the races.  My heart is breaking as I realize what a HUGE impact you had on all of our lives.  You will be missed more than you will ever know.  I LOVE YOU JOHN, RIP!

I'm very sorry for your family's loss.  I have Max in class this semester and was shocked to hear of his father's passing.  Praying for comfort to Mr. Hogeveen's family.

    John...where to begin...

Our whole lives, it was the original 6, then dad passed and so we were 5 and now you've left us.  Entirely too soon!  You and I were like oil and water but yet, we were each others staunchest defenders.  We always said, if the other goes first, the one left behind would cry the hardest and darn it, we were both right.  I knew you would always be there for us, as you always were.  LIke Carrie said, you never said no, no matter what.  I will miss your cheeky sense of humor, your often off-color jokes and stories, but most of all, I'll miss YOU!   I know you'll see dad up there, probably still negotiating his way past the pearly gates, but please do put in a good word for him because you both have earned your way!

    Until we meet again.....

    Love,

    Sis
