Our family spent many wonderful occasions with "Virginia and Joe" and the girls in Chicago Heights over the years.  We are saddened to hear of his sudden Call to Glory but know that he is rejoicing in Heaven with the saints.  We continue to keep Virginia and the family in our prayers.

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Ehrich's passing. As a childhood friend of his daughter, Jen, he always treated me with grace, kindness, and always made me feel welcome in their home. One one occasion in my 20's, he gave me some life words of wisdom. Even today, over 20 years later, I still take his words of advice to heart.

My heart and prayers go out to Virginia, Jen, Monica and the rest of the family during this difficult time. Rest in Peace, Mr. Ehrich. You will be dearly missed.

Condolences to his family. He seems to have lived a long, rich, and fulfilling Christian life.

I just read about his passing on the Bloom facebook page. I went to Kindergarten (on 14th street) thru eighth grade (Highland Ave.) with Joe. I still have our kindergarten graduation picture. I believe he had some illness in the early years which kept him back one grade. However, back then two grade levels were taught in the same room (Mr. Braun, Mr. Rudolph, Mr. Heidemann) so we were still together many of those years.

Again, blessings to his family. May the many memories of his shared life bring a measure of joy to you.
