Joyce M. Lagone née Falica. Age 83. Longtime Chicago Heights resident born and raised in Harvey, Illinois. Graduate of Thornton High School. Worked in retail sales at Carson Pirie Scott department store in Lincoln Mall before assisting as a secretary for a librarian at Bloom High School. Over 50 year active parishioner at St. Kieran Church devoted to many church groups. Joyce Lagone was a wonderful lady, who enjoyed cooking with her family, bowling and golfing. She gathered monthly with her cherished high school friends for club and connected regularly with many loving friends, neighbors and family. Mother of Debra (John) Brown, Patrick (Kim), Daniel (Cindy) and the late Thomas Lagone. Loving grandmother of Mia (Tom) Baumgartner, Jayme’, J.C. and Nicolas Brown; George (Mari) Lagone; and Taylor (Brett) Robinson, Emma, Dominic and Rosie Lagone. Great grandmother of Jack and Ali Baumgartner and Vivian and Vincent Lagone. Daughter of the late Estelle née Holobowski and John Falica. Sister of Jack (late Marie) Falica and Susan (late Terry) Siorek. Adored aunt and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th Street (US Rt. 30, 3 blocks East of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Saturday January 16th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A mass of Christian Burial will be private. Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers to the Lagone Family. Joyce was a wonderful lady & a funny one at that. I worked w/ her at Carson's & then at the hospital. She will be surely missed. May she rest in peace.
