Michael Paoletta created joyful times in my life and those of our Macalester College friends. He will always be remembered for fabulous Italian dinner parties, swing dancing in the kitchen, sharp wardrobe choices, a long drive to Florida, and his sincere care for others. My deep gratitude to Ginnie and friends who were with him in recent days.

Mike was my best friend for the last 25 years and the most amazing person I have ever known.  He was smart, kind, supportive and mentored many colleagues throughout his career.  Family was what he valued most, Ginnie and Michael were his world and he loved them dearly.  He will be missed but never forgotten.

I spent many hours with Michael at Macalester College, playing bridge and sharing meals at the cafeteria. I remember that he would drive his car (Lincoln Continental) to the cafeteria, park illegally in an alley and never get in trouble. The women who worked at the cafeteria all knew and loved him. He was a special person and I am glad to have him in my life. RIP dear Michael.
