Rose touched so many young adult's lives through her career as a counselor. She celebrated the success of others while often staying in the background. Rose was a selfless woman who truly put the needs of others before her own. May she rest in peace.

Rose and I were friends since 1964.  I will always remember her laugh, her dancing eyes, and her broad smile.  What a woman! I feel blessed by our friendship over the years and her presence that continues in my memory.  Rest in peace, Rose.

I miss you Rose, my friend. We had wonderful visits at both Woodhaven and Countryside and when she came to Leavenworth, KS. I  knew her since 1964. Rose was a very caring, joyful, prayerful, and self-giving person always concerned about others. She had many friends and I know she will be missed.

Rose, my dear friend and buddy for 64 years. I miss you so much. We had many crazy experiences over those years and  you were the person who made me laugh the hardest. There were times when you spoke that I was drinking something, and out through my nose it came from a sudden burst of laughter. Your positive attitude, no matter when came your way was astounding. I clearly remember a day that you were listing all the things that you were ailing from and ended the list by saying that for your age you’re really healthy. After laughing my ass off, I said: Rose, when you die I’m going to write on your tombstone – Dead, but otherwise healthy!  We both laughed. So many memories…too many to list, but one of my favorite things about you was that whenever you had a meal, you always saved the thing you loved most for last – so that would be the taste that lingered. In your honor, I’m going to start doing that. Saving the best for last! That was you, my dear friend, always the best for last! I’ll always carry you in my heart and miss you every day! Still hard for me to think of the world without a Rose!
