Albert E. Smith, age 81. Longtime Winnetka resident, formerly of Riverdale and Chicago’s Roseland area. Retired Vice President of Anixter Bros. Inc. after over 20 years of service. U.S. Army Veteran. Graduate of the University of Illinois. President of the School Bd. District 133 Riverdale, IL for 13 years. Husband for 61 years of Carole Marie nee Zotti. Father of Michael (Judy) Smith and Eric (Kathy) Smith. Grandfather of Sara, Julian, Spencer (Christine), Ryan (Rachel), Megan and Steven Smith. Son of the late Josephine nee Callahan and Orville Smith. Brother of Adeline (late Ed) Hoholik, Joseph (late Jean) Smith and the late Mary (late Jack) Zylstra, Bernadette (late Jack) Hynes, John, William, Thomas (late Kate) and James Smith. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 7th, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 1077 Tower Rd., Winnetka. Family will receive guests from 10:00 AM until time of memorial mass.
