Anita M. Pellettiere nee Schwaighart. Age 95. Longtime Olympia Fields and Flossmoor resident, born and raised in Midlothian. Graduate of St Xavier College receiving her bachelor’s degree in Latin. Former grammar school teacher at St Christopher Catholic Grammar School in Midlothian and former part time Activities Director at Imperial Nursing Home. Active member at Infant Jesus of Prague Church.Thank you Anita from your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends for all the love you showered upon us throughout our lives. Thanks from the many families that you helped through your decades-long efforts with Respond Now. Thanks from the military whose lonely days in service were made brighter by the Christmas greetings you made sure they received. Thanks from the elderly parishioners and shut-ins who received birthday greetings at your hand. Thanks from the children you did not know, who had shoes, clothing and educations due to your personal efforts. Thanks from the students of IJP whose educations were made more affordable by your efforts with Curtain Call. And thank you from the many people who got to enjoy your beautiful voice while you did so. Thanks from the many children who had the supplies they needed to start off the school year well. Thanks from the children and families in Haiti who have homes, sanitation and education due to your initiation of the Haiti Project. Thanks from the many people in the nursing home that you brought joy and love every day. Finally, thank you from the many children and adults whose faith you helped form through your efforts with Frank. Your many self-less initiatives inspire all of us to love our neighbors as ourselves. The world was truly made a better place through your well-lived life. Thank you! Wife for 38 years of the late Francis “Frank” Pellettiere. Great grandmother of Arianna Calix, Amelia Calix, Rio Calix, Elio Calix and the late Liam Calix-Jordan. Daughter of the late Marie nee Lamping and Paul F. Schwaighart. Sister of the late Roger Schwaighart, Paul (late Avis) Schwaighart and Alan (Kathleen) Schwaighart. Aunt and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Friday October 7, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Saturday October 8, 2022, at 9:15 am from funeral home to Infant Jesus of Prague Church, 1131 Douglas, Flossmoor. Mass 10:00 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip. Amy and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She sure seemed like a wonderful lady, bringing happiness and love to so many. She sounds like a model for all of us, and I'm sorry I wasn't able to know her. Prayer and peace to you and your entire family. With love, Dan Murphy (St. James)
