Anthony J. “Midge” Granato age 93, Longtime Calumet City resident formerly of Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. Retired Electrician from Stauffer Chemical Co. World War II US Army Veteran. Proud and devoted member of St Anthony of Padua Parish in Roseland was an active volunteer for the parish council, church usher, and Holy Name Society. Lifelong organizer of the Holy Name Society golf outing and bowling league. Member of the Thornton Amercian Legion Post 1070. Die Hard Cub Fan. Husband for 69 years of Rose E. nee Pallanti. Father of Frank (Rose Marie) and Gregory (Katherine) Granato. Grandpa of Andrea (Edward) Sagel, Daniel, Timothy (Melissa) Granato, Erin (Richard) McLean, Kyle (Fiancée Carla Musillo), and Kristin Granato. Great Grandpa of Logan Granato, Alan Sagel, Brady and Scarlett Rose McLean. Brother of the late Grace (late Anthony) Malanga, Josephine (late John) Biesboer, Elizabeth (John) Placek and Nancy (late Frank) Fezzuoglio. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Sunday March 19th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Lying in state Monday from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass 9:30 AM at St Anthony Church, 11533 S Prairie Avenue, Chicago. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth.
