Retired Executive Assistant at Old Republic International. Wife for 57   years of the late Leo Bernardi. Mother of Gina (Patrick Karstrand) Bernardi. Grandmother of Abigail “Abby” and Elizabeth “Liza” Karstrand. Daughter of the late Giovanna nee Mioni and Fortunato Valente. Sister of Angeline (late Victor) Bernardi, the late Edwin (Janet) Valente, Irving (Frances) Valente. Sister-in-law of Angela (Tom) Dandurand. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Sunday December 4, 2022 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral services 3:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to American Legion Auxiliary, IL UNIT 1070, to support the veterans at Manteno Veteran’s Home.  Donations can be mailed in care of Sheila Scott, 417 West Arlington Lane, Crete, IL 60417-4303, or Rosary Hill Home, to support the Dominican Sisters who took such good care of mom at 9000 West 81st Street, Justice, Il 60458.
