United States Navy Veteran. Retired Project Supervisor from Green For Life, formerly Future Environmental. Husband for 52 years of Ruth nee Stavros. Father of Carl Truhlar. Grandfather of Ashley Truhlar. Son of the late Georgiana nee Uher and George Truhlar. Brother of George Truhlar, Mark Truhlar, Scott (Lori) Truhlar, Georgette Truhlar, Diane (Lupe) Truhlar and the late Cherie Truhlar. Uncle of Tracy and Steven Fuller and Andrea Bobis. Great uncle of Ariana Bobis. Friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Friday February 10, 2023, from 2:30 pm until time of Funeral Services 8:30 pm. Dear Ruth and Carl jr., My deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband and father. My Lifetime swimming days will never be quite the same. Always laughing at Carl's one in a million stories. Talking about his job or good times in Florida or buying Ruthie presents for Christmas or her bday. The hours would fly by at the pool. He also always showed an interest in our lives. I recently had a life changing event and he would always show his support and give great advice. I know he is watching over his friends and family from the pearly gates of heaven.
