Carmen “Cal” Adducci. Age 92. Longtime South Holland resident, formerly of Chicago’s Roseland and Historic Pullman Neighborhood. Graduate of Pullman Tech and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Illinois Institute Technology “I.I.T.” United States Army Korean War Veteran. Retired from Metropolitan Sanitary District after 30 years of service. Was an active parishioner at St Anthony Church in Roseland. Was a member of the Order of Sons of Italy Roseland Lodge. Played Shortstop in the Minors for the Green Bay Blue Jays. Avid Chicago White Sox Fan. Co-author of the Pullman Tech Newsletter. A fellow Spaghetti-O. Husband for 66 years of Amelia “Millie” nee Traverso. Father of Carol (Larry) Yuknis, Michael (Denise) and Mark Adducci. Grandfather of Matthew (Vanessa) and Nicholas (Alyssa) Yuknis. Great grandfather of Aria, Eleanor and Gabriel Yuknis. Son of the late James and Josephine Adducci. Brother of the late John (late Frances) Adducci. Brother in-law of Dorothy (Anthony) Fimbianti and David (Vinessa) Traverso. Uncle and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th St (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Sunday March 14, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral services 3:00 PM.
