Carole Ann Furtyo-Panozzo - 82

Lowell, Indiana

Carole Ann Furtyo-Panozzo, age 82, of Lowell, IN, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025. Beloved wife of William “Bill” Panozzo. Loving mother of Pamela (Perry) Mickey, Tina (Scott) Booker and Ronald Furtyo. Cherished grandmother of Dana Warn, Jaime (Steve) Barick, Joseph Mickey, the late Jonathon Mickey, Jeremy (Jamie) Booker, Daniel (Blair) Booker and Jaclyn Booker. Dear sister of the late Gerald (Joyce) Rossman. Great-grandmother to Connor and Carson Powers, Avys and Eden Richardson, Carter Carlson, Jeremy “JJ”, Jace and Jett Booker, Rad, Zion and Orli Booker and Kane Christensen. Preceded in death by her parents Ethel Scheef and Harry Rossman.

Carole was a guiding light in the lives of so many. Carole dedicated many years to a career in banking and the mortgage industry, where she was respected for her professionalism, dedication, and honesty. Carole carried herself with timeless grace and had a sense of style that reflected the dignity and care she brought to everything she did. Carole had a generous heart and never hesitated to help others. Family would rarely leave her house empty-handed, as there was almost always something she wanted you to take home with you. At the heart of Carole’s life was her husband, Bill, whom she absolutely adored. Their love story was one of deep devotion and true partnership, and she often spoke of him with joy, admiration, and a twinkle in her eye. Almost every conversation included a recent example of the many ways Bill “spoiled her.” The life they built together was filled with laughter, deep care, and unwavering love. Carole was affectionately known as “Grandma Banana” a nickname playfully given by her daughter Tina. Though she may not have been thrilled with it at first, she eventually embraced it as the term of endearment it became. She was also lovingly called “Nonni,” each name reflecting the deep bonds and joyful spirit she nurtured throughout her life.

Carole poured her heart into making each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren feel seen, cherished, and unconditionally loved. With gentle strength, she offered guidance and life lessons that shaped generations, teaching by example what it means to honor and appreciate those dearest to us. She had a way of encouraging those she loved to be their best with a steady hand, a warm heart, and a deep well of wisdom. Carole was also blessed with a lifelong friendship that brought her comfort and joy. Her best friend, also named Carole, remained a faithful companion through the years and was always there sharing love and unwavering support.

In accordance with Carole’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Her family will carry forward her memory in the quiet moments, in shared stories, and in the love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved. Info 708-481-9230 and panozzobros.com.
