Debra E. Carlotto (nee Anderson), long-time resident of South Holland, Illinois (formerly of Roseland and Chicago Heights), passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at age 68. Debbie was born on February 20, 1955, to Howard and Beth Anderson of Roseland. On November 29, 1975, she married the love of her life, Dennis (Denny) at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Roseland. Hand in hand, they spent the next forty-eight years building a family and a life. Together, they had three children: Dennis, Jr. (Danielle), Dana (Mike) Stein and Diana (Ron Vincent). Debbie devoted her time as a wife, mother, and homemaker, caring for her favorite firefighter, her children, and grandchildren. As her children were growing up, she spent numerous hours volunteering her time as a room mother at Holy Ghost, a volleyball coach, and a cub scout mom. When she wasn’t with her children, she worked with Denny at their family business, DECA Sealcoating. In recent years, she helped Denny with many projects for local churches, schools, along with many other organizations. Debbie attended Fenger High School and graduated from Bloom High School. She is preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, and her mother-in-law. Debbie leaves behind her husband, Denny; her sister, Cathy (Louie D’Amico) Anderson; her sisters-in-law, Remi (Matt) Erny and Nadine (Jerry Orbach) Carlotto; her children; her grandchildren, Gianna Carlotto, Emma Stein, Vincent Carlotto, and Danica Carlotto. Debbie was also a niece, an aunt, a cousin, a neighbor, and a friend to many. Debbie was a remarkable woman who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Debbie was a very sweet lady. She was my favorite Roseland lady who freely called me Billy. She was loved by many people and her joyful smile and spirit will be missed dearly. Praying for my classmate and friend Denny and the Carlotto family. We are so sorry for your loss.
