Donald F. Strait. Age 72. Passed away January 17, 2019. Cartersville Georgia resident formerly of Hazel Crest. Graduate of Thornton High School Class of 1964. Worked 18 years as a Machinist at Alacsco then onto Bee Line Towing until he changed careers into stock car racing. He was a team leader for 20 years in ARCA and NASCAR. After car racing he worked at Phoenix Air as a master fabricator. Beloved husband of 51 years to Cheryl nee Christofero. Loving father of Gina Crusius, Deanna “Dee” (Charles) Tabing and Jon (Sarah) Strait. Grandfather of Carly and Casey Crusius, Chloe Tabing, Isla and Oliver Strait. Son of the late Victoria nee Johnson and Frank Strait. Brother of JoAnn Allen and Robert (Ruth) Strait. Brother in-law of Jack (Shirley) Christofero and the late Mary (late Severino) Lazzari. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Donald is reunited with his beloved dog Lucy. Memorial visitation at Panozzo Bros.
