Eleanor A. Shine nee Horecny. Age 95. Lifelong resident of Chicago Heights/St Agnes Parish. Graduate of Bloom High School Class of 1946. Worked 10 years as an Executive Secretary at Gold – Seal. Wife for 69 years of Gerald “Jerry” Shine. Mother of Patricia “Patti” Hayes, Thomas (Sherry) Shine and the late Robert (Janet) Shine. Mother-in-law of John Hayes. Grandmother of Dr. John Ryan (Patricia “Patti”) Hayes, Jennifer Hayes, Daniel Shine, Cayla Shine, Megan Shine, Matthew Shine and Connor Shine. Great Grandmother of Holden Hayes and Elsie Hayes Daughter of the late Tillie nee Palcek and Joseph G. Horecny. Sister of the late Lt. Joseph Horecny Jr, WWII, Frank (late Nora) Horecny and Ludmilla “Luddy” (late Edward) Jagmin. Aunt and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 Blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Friday November 17, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. My condolences to Jerry and the family known the family since Glenwood days when we lived next door to Jerry's parents. Eleanor was a beautiful and such a sweet women. So so sorry Jerry.

My deep condolences to the family of Eleanor, I speak for the Rogge family who were neighbors for many years on Highland drive. I have only good memories of her and her kind demeanor. God bless her

Mrs Shine has been a light in my life since I was 11 years old. I became their babysitter during the summers and then throughout my teens She was such a kind, warm, and loving mother, wife and neighbor. My deepest sympathies to Mr Shine and her entire family. Rest in peace beautiful lady.
