GERALD F. BOSKEY  -  1935 – 2019
Passed from this life on November 25th in Leesburg, Florida after a long battle with cancer.  Born in Chicago on August 3, 1935 to Frank and Helen (Roberts) Boskey.  Gerald (Jerry) was raised on the far south side of Chicago; a graduate with Student Council President honors from Fenger High School in 1953.  He attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, graduating in 1957 with a degree in Political Science and Economics.  Further studies included graduate work at Loyola University in Chicago.  Jerry had a long career in manufacturing, traveling to many parts of the globe, making life-long friendships along the way.  In addition, he was very active in many civic and community affairs during his work life and continuing in his retirement years when he and his wife Margaret moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2001. One of his proudest professional achievements was being invited twice to the White House under President Jimmy Carter as the Chair of the first Minority Business Development Fair in Washington, D.C.  He also served as Elections Clerk for Precinct #83 (Lake County, FL) for 10 years.  Jerry took much pride and sense of accomplishment in his community endeavors.  Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Margaret (Campbell); their 4 children, Craig (Laura), Todd, Lisa, and David (Patricia).  He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Kevin, Trevor, Marisa and Megan.  Jerry is also survived by his brother Alvin.  A mass of Christian burial was held at Saint Paul Catholic Community in Leesburg on Wednesday, November 27.   Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois, on December 5th, at 12:00 Noon, resting alongside his parents, his toddler brother, Allen, and other family members, including grandparents.
