John Arthur Kocsis. Age 82. St John Resident, formerly of Sauk Village and Chicago’s Roseland and Burnside Neighborhoods. Graduate of St Willibrord Catholic High School Class of 1961. United States Air Force Staff Sergeant Vietnam War Veteran. Retired after 32 years of service from the Director of Employment Security Office. In John’s free time he enjoyed fishing and listening to music. Husband of the late Barbara nee Reitz. Son of the late Emma Jane nee Schoenfeldt and John Kocsis. Step-son of the late Edwin Westinghouse. Brother of Edwin George (late Becky) Westinghouse, Arthur (Janet) Westinghouse and the late Lois (late Robert) O’Neill, Frank (Lori) Westinghouse, James (Teresa) Westinghouse. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friend to many.  Dearest companion of Vanessa Nesbit. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Tuesday September 24, 2024 from 8:30 am until time of prayers 10:00 am then to Our Lady of the Heights/St Agnes Church, 1501 Chicago Road, Chicago Heights. Mass 10:30 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City.
