John A. Calabrese, “Breezer” age 55. Longtime Homewood resident recently of Mt. Greenwood. Social Studies Teacher for Homewood School District 153/ James Hart School. Former teacher and wrestling coach at Peotone Jr. High. Owner of Breeze Printing. A graduate of H-F High School, John attended Prairie State, Governors State and National Louis University, receiving Masters Degrees in Education and Education Administration. Loving husband of Mary nee Piotrowski. Father of Tracy and Megan Calabrese. Son of Florence nee Kubilius and Anthony J. Calabrese. Brother of Cathy (Rich) Flores. Step father of Katie and Krystle Danula. Son-in-law of Virginia and the late John Piotrowski. John was a dedicated teacher, cherished friend and enthusiastic Blues Harp player. He brought a friendly face and positive energy into every room he entered. He will be missed, but proudly remembered by so many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14^th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Monday March 21^st from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at which time a brief service and memories will be shared.
