John “Jack” Heneghan. Age 80. Longtime Chicago Heights resident, raised in Joliet. Graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy Class of 1961, Bachelor’s Degree in History from Loyola University Class of 1965 and Masters in Education from University of Notre Dame Class of 1967. Jack retired June 2023 after a 45 year career from Marian Catholic High School. Jack filled many shoes at Marian Catholic High School starting as a Director of Development, Assistant Principal, Teacher of Discovery and Service, Mentor/Counselor to thousands of students, a founding father of the Marian Catholic High School Kairos Retreat. Jack was a True Pillar and Cornerstone to the Marian Catholic High School Community. Husband for 52 years of Patricia “Pat” nee Josephson. Father of Timothy (Sheryl) Heneghan and Margaret (Josh) Czajka. Grandfather of Casimir Jay “C.J.” Heneghan and Arya Czajka. Son of the late Mary nee Wallace and Frederick Heneghan. Resting at Marian Catholic High School, 700 Ashland Avenue, Chicago Heights on Friday November 24, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at St Kieran Church, 724 195th Street, Chicago Heights on Saturday November 25, 2023 for Funeral Mass 10:00 am. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood.
