Joe was a genuinely honest, generous and loving person who would do anything for his friends and family. He loved throwing parties that also gave back to his community with pajama and food drives for those less fortunate. He loved baseball, racing, football and channel surfing (usually stopping on any channel that was history, cars, or do it yourself anything). He was an avid fisherman who inspired and taught his son and grandchildren everything he knew about the sport. The guys fishing trips to Bull Shoals Arkansas migrated into family trips when the kids were young and then back to the guys when the kids got older. He was a car guy! His car of choice was the corvette and all four that he owned at different times were a shade of red! When he retired in 2017 he spent a lot of time at his lakehouse, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a positive force with a life quote for everything and will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him.Celebration of life Saturday August 5, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Cuzin's Pub, 17704 Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park, IL, 60477. Joe and Janet are so dear to my heart. I'm so very grateful to have known them and seen their love in it's full beauty. Although we've not known each other for a lifetime, it immediately felt as though we did. The warmth and friendship that existed between them emanated out to others with absolute ease. We became fast friends and I hold them both dear to my heart. Kind, outgoing, welcoming...I can still hear his friendly voice. Janet, you have (Still) something special that I'd not seen frequently in my lifetime. Amazing special supportive friendship and love...you two really set the bar for me...and likely everyone. That kind of love never dies. Just lives on in everyone who saw the way you two were... I'm so sad and sorry for your loss Janet and family. And I'm very grateful to have been able to see it in person. Love becomes light and remains. Love to you & family. RIP Joe

Joe was such an amazing person, who made impact in the world. The times we had were filled with laughter and conversation. I am grateful we got to get together to make some fond memories both in Florida and Maine last summer. RIP Joe, You will be missed!
