Graduate of Chicago Vocational School “C.V.S.” Class of 1955. United States Air Force Veteran. Retired from Chicago Steel and Wire after 32 years of service. Husband for 58 years of Minerva nee Caballero. Father of Nora (David) North and Joshua H. Fonseca Jr. Grandfather of Luigi (Lindsey), Frank (Allie) Savaglio, Nina (Richard) Plank, Krista, Kayla, Joshua III and Katie Fonseca. Great grandfather of Stella, Emilia, Luca, Anthony, Molly, Emma Savaglio, Xavier and Izaiah Fonseca. Son of the late Pilar (late Alejo) Garcia-Mendoza and Dolores Fonseca. Brother of Rebecca (late Genaro) Diaz, Sara (Trinidad) Zavala, Esther (Alfred) Carvajal, Nadia (Reynaldo) Caseres, Elsa Alcala, Olivia (Robert) Garcia and the late Anita (late Oscar) Flores. Uncle and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th St (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Friday April 30, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass private.  Committal Services Saturday 11:45 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City.
