Judith Ann Palfy - 86

Judith Ann Palfy, 86 years old of Salem Oregon passed away surrounded by loved ones on August 20, 2026. Judy was raised in the Salem area and proudly called it home throughout her life. For more than 40 years, she served the community as a local beautician. Salem was where she raised her family, cherished and spoiled her grandchildren, and became lovingly known as “Mom” and “Grandma” to so many. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Boyd and Angie Panther, her brother Stephen and her 3 children, Patricia, Rodney and Edward. She is survived by her sister Anita, daughter Wanda and her grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon, Phillip, Elliot, Bella, Justice, Liz, Jon and Nicole, along with numerous great grandchildren. Judy spent much of her life caring for others, whether it was her husband, one of her children, a child who needed a little extra love, or a friend who needed her hair done. Judy was always there, ready to help and care for those around her. When she wasn’t taking care of someone else, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and square dancing. She also had a special love for collecting angels—lots and lots of angels. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM at The Independence Hotel, 201 Osprey Ln, Independence, OR 97351 in the Atrium.
