Lorraine A. Sana nee Bendik, 86, longtime resident of Olympia Fields, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  Beloved wife of Clyde Sana, whom she married August 11, 1956 and spent 67 years sharing life with and raising their large and loving family.   Lori’s quiet but spunky demeanor, with her easy ability to laugh and have fun, was cherished by all and will be greatly missed.  She excelled at knitting and crocheting and loved to read and work crossword puzzles. Her strength, determination and organization were unmatched!   Longtime Saint Lawrence O’Toole Parishioner, and formerly of Chicago’s Gage Park Neighborhood, and a graduate of Gage Park High School. Lori worked for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad as a Clerk, transitioned to BP Amoco, and ultimately retired after working at her son’s dental practice, Millenium Park Dental.  Mother of Denise (Gary) Jordan, Dean (Nicole) Sana DDS, Diane (Brook) Spencer, Dale (Mindy Casto) and Desiree Sana. Grandmother of 12. Great grandmother of 4. Daughter of the late Mary (nee Dhuly) and Lawrence Bendik. Sister of Marcella (Gilbert) Opferman and 10 predeceased brothers and sisters. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Friend to many. Memorial visitation at St Veronica Church (formerly Infant Jesus of Prague Church), 1131 Douglas, Flossmoor on Friday March 15, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of Memorial Mass 11:00 am. Interment private.
