Michael A. Galderio. Age 69. Frankfort resident, formerly of Chicago Heights. Attended Bloom High School. Started his work in the restaurant business as a bartender at Alf’s Pub in Dolton. Became a partner at the Tender Trap in Chicago Heights and then Ciao Ristorante in Matteson. In 1996 Mike opened Balagio Restaurant on Ridge Road and Martin Street in Homewood until moving the business to its current location at 175th Street and Dixie Highway. In 2017 he expanded the restaurant into Mokena location on 191st Street and Everett Lane. Husband for 14 years of Nicole Kavouris. Father of Michael (Leah) Galderio and Mia Kavouris. Grandfather of Tyler Claire and Viviana Paige Galderio. Son of the late Sabina nee Picchi and Pasquale Galderio. Brother of Patricia Borst, Michelle (Nick) Mrdalj and Patrick Galderio. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friend of many. Memorial Visitation at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Sunday January 8, 2023, from 12:00 Noon until time of Memorial Service at 6:00 pm. Interment private.
