Olivia P. Ramos nee Pena. Age 80. Longtime Chicago Heights resident.  Passed away February 7th 2025 at home.

Olivia “Vivi” was a gifted storyteller.  She could spend hours talking about her large family.  Things she and her siblings did when they were young, her early life picking fields in Texas, moving to Illinois, working at John’s Frozen Pizza and then working for Johnson & Johnson’s. She loved to “bum around” town and would often take drives to see new places, even though she was afraid of getting lost.  Her life took her from Texas to Illinois out to California and then finally back to Chicago Heights.  A place that always felt like home to her. 

Her compassion and love were felt far beyond her family. God loving.  She was thankful for every sunrise and in awe of nature’s beauty.  Her light will be missed.

Olivia was a Retired Machine Operator from Johnson and Johnson. Loving mother of Alejandro (Elizabeth) Aldape and Jose Ramos Jr. Daughter of the late Olivia nee Cantu and Samuel Pena. Sister of Mary (Jaime) Martinez, Isabel (Alex) Andreucci, Connie Salazar, Desi (Linda) Salazar, Julian (Ninfa) Salazar, the late Sam (Lydia) Pena, Carlos Pena, John Perez, and Linda Salazar. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Sunday February 16, 2025 from 1:00 pm until Funeral Services 5:00 pm. Burial private.
