Munster, Indiana

Patricia E. Stella (née Pawelski), age 78, of Munster, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, Peoria, Berwyn and Chicago’s Heart of Chicago Neighborhood, passed away on November 9, 2024. She was born on August 12, 1946, to the late Lillian (née Stec) and Edward Pawelski. Pat was the beloved wife of the late Mario A. Stella for 47 years; loving mother of Richard (Tracy) and Daniel (Amanda) Stella; dear grandmother of Adrianna, Ava and Ensley Stella; loving sister of Edward (late Janice) Pawelski and the late Thomas Pawelski; sister-in-law of Lillian Stella, Dennis (Gail Wrzaskowski) Stella and Anthony (Lisa) Stella; aunt to several nieces and nephews; and a great friend to the many people in her life.

Pat was a graduate of St. Ann High School. She held administrative positions at United Insurance, Heritage Environmental Services and retired from Benefit Administration Systems. Pat was passionate about decorating, crafting, cooking and baking, especially on birthdays and during the holidays, for family and friends. She loved getaway trips with Mario to Lake Geneva, WI, and Benton Harbor/St. Joe, MI. Her love for music inspired her to design a listening room in her home, where she and family enjoyed records from decades past. Her memory and spirit will live on in all of us.

Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (U.S. Route 30, 3 blocks east of Western Avenue), Chicago Heights, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 8:00 pm.
