Raymond A. Brower. Age 83. Recently of Tinley Park, former longtime Glenwood and Homewood resident. Born in Chicago’s Roseland Neighborhood. Attended Bloom High School, Graduating from Homewood-Flossmoor High School Class of 1961 where he played Football. Ray worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for over 40 years starting in Freight Trains and then in 1983 was a Conductor on the Electric Commuter Line until his retirement in 2002. Husband for 57 years of Charlene nee Sharo. Father of Jennifer (Edward) Dauskurdas, James (Jennifer) Brower and the late Maureen Brower. Grandfather of Audrey and Allison Desbles, Maggie and Emilee Brower. Son of the late Eleanor nee Seitz and Dallas Brower. Brother in law of Terry (Barbara) Sharo, John (Beverly) Sharo and the late Tom Sharo. Uncle and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights, IL on Monday October 5, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Tuesday October 6, 2026 10:15 am from funeral home to Our Lady of the Heights/St Kieran Church, 724 195th Street, Chicago Heights. Mass 11:00 am. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood.
