Her postgraduate work was in scientific research at Rutgers University. Received a license in Auto Mechanics at Prairie State College. Microbiologist at Edgewater Hospital. Microbiology Instructor at University of Illinois College of Medicine. Bacteriologist at Mt Prospect Hospital in New York. Tutor for Disturbed Children at Eastview School in Steger, Illinois. Vivian was as active in her community, Founding member of the American Field Service Rich East Chapter and the Civic Music Association. Charter member of the League of Women Voters Park Forest Chapter. Treasurer of he South Suburban United Nations Association. Active member of Common Cause and a Director for Prairie State College Scholarship Foundation.  Married 74 years of the late Aaron Gerber MD. Mother of Thomas (late Barbara) Gerber  and Diane (Howard Siegel) Gerber MD. Grandmother of Lauren (Raymond Gonzalez) Gerber, Joshua, Harrison Gerber and James (Caitlin) Siegel. Great grandmother of Henry Gonzalez and Eleanor Siegel. Daughter of the late Anne nee Apple and Herschel Noskin MD. Sister of the late Eugene (late Gertrude) Noskin MD and Jerome (Mary) Noskin DDS.
