William “Billy” Yeo - 69

6/16/2026

William “Billy” Yeo passed away unexpectedly, leaving his family, friends, and all who knew him heartbroken by his sudden loss. While his passing came far too soon, Billy leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, enduring friendships, and a legacy of love, laughter, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

To know Billy was to love him. He was a devoted dad, poppa, partner and friend whose larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Billy never met a stranger and had a unique gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and remembered.

Billy dedicated much of his career to the transportation industry, working for many years with UPS And Airborne Express, before continuing his career with the railroad, from which he proudly retired. He was respected for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication throughout his professional life.

While he took pride in his work, Billy’s greatest joy was always his family. He was the biggest supporter of his children and grandchildren. He was always there with encouragement, enthusiasm and pride. Nothing made him happier than watching those he loved to succeed.

Billy had a passion for music, a lifelong love of the Chicago Bears, and a special appreciation for cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed spending weekends exploring estate sales, always searching for a hidden treasure or a great story to share. Family and friends eagerly anticipated his infamous annual Yeo Bash where laughter, music, friendship, and unforgettable memories were always in abundance.

Known affectionately for his “Billy Mail,” Billy enjoyed clipping newspaper articles he thought friends and family would appreciate and sharing them with those he cared about. He never forgot a birthday, always remembered important milestones, and had a remarkable way of making people feel special. His thoughtfulness, generosity, and willingness to help others were among the many qualities that made him so beloved.

Billy is survived by his loving children, Jeremy (Carol), Tricia, and Billy (Ashley); his cherished grandchildren Kenzley and Everly, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride; and his devoted girlfriend Jan, whose love and companionship meant so much to him; and his beloved sisters, Vicki and Tracy; and his former wife, Hilary (Brian), with whom he shared the gift of raising a family. Although their marriage ended, they remained lifelong friends, united by their love and pride for their children and the family they built together.

He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Sonny and Duke, faithful companions who were always by his side and brough him great comfort, companionship, and happiness.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten by his family, countless friends, neighbors, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering support for those he loved to leave a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Billy is now reunited with his beloved parents, William and Catherine, who preceded him in death and whose love and guidance helped shape the remarkable man so many were blessed to know.

My best to Billy's family and Jan. His father gave me a good start in the sign business. Billy enjoyed my car a 1947 Lincoln. Our friendship was unique and well I am not much of a Bears fan but I am grateful for his friendship later in life. I knew his dad and through me he knew him too. Dan Colyer

Hey Billy, Mr. Shupryt and I were surprised to hear your dad died so unexpectedly. Your Dad loved you so much. We thought back and remembered when you and Mikey played football together for Rich South. Your Dad and Mom with the D-fence sign cheering you on while enjoying every moment seeing you play football
