Daniel J. Dunstan - 73

Daniel J. Dunstan, born on August 20, 1951, passed on from this life on March 11, 2025, at the age of 73. Dan grew up in Chicago’s Roseland/West Pullman neighborhood, and as an adult resided in Homewood and Richton Park. Dan graduated from Leo High School and attended Prairie State College. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.

Dan worked various jobs before being hired as a rural mail carrier at the Frankfort Post Office, where he also served as shop steward. Dan was a longstanding NRA member and enjoyed target shooting. He was a member of the Frankfort Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1493, was an Irish history buff, and an animal lover—especially fur baby Madison.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother, the late Mary nee Keho and father, Albert Dunstan. Dan was brother to William (Marian) Dunstan, Janis (late Ronald) Glockzin and the late Ann (late Robert) Taylor and Jeanine Dunstan. Additionally, he was uncle to Amy (Don) Procunier, Jeanine (Justin) Kozlowski, Kim (Daniel) Fenil, Christopher (Angel) Dunstan, Ron Glockzin, and the late Clay Taylor. He was a great uncle to ten and friend of many.

 Visitation will be Monday, March 17, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Panozzo Brothers Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights. Dan will lie in state at St Anthony Church, 7659 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, on Tuesday March 18, 2025 from 9:00 am until Funeral Mass 10:00 am.
