Joan J. Davis nee Miller. Age 94. Longtime Chicago Heights resident, formerly of Peotone. Daughter of the late Elsie nee Schroeder and Elmer Miller. Graduate of Peotone High School Class of 1950. Joan was a Homemaker for the majority of her life and retired from St Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer at the age of 70. Longtime member of St Paul Lutheran Church. Joan's warm spirit shone brightly for all who met her. She found deep joy in life's simple pleasures--whether it was sharing time with family and friends, immersing herself in puzzles and creating adult coloring masterpieces, or savoring a piece of dark chocolate for dessert with coffee. As a woman of profound faith, we take great comfort in knowing she is at peace in heaven. Mother of Deborah (late Thomas) Diehl, Susan (Steve) Hart, Barbara (Dominic) Perozzi and Nancy (Fred) Newell. Grandmother of Eric (Treva) and Rachael Diehl, Allison Hart, Dr Olivia (Adam) Crawford, Dr Justin (Dr Kathy) Newell, Ashley and Taylor Newell. Great grandmother of Derek and Christian Diehl, Tressa (Chase) Wyatt, Carter and Mila Walker. Great-great grandmother of Asher and Weston Wyatt.  Friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros.
