Paul J. Szczepkowski. Age 91. Longtime Homewood resident, formerly of Chicago’s South Shore and South Chicago Neighborhood. Graduate of Chicago Vocational School “C.V.S.”. United States Army Veteran. Retired as proprietor of the family business Polka Sausage and Catering on Commercial Avenue in South Chicago, on Ewing in Chicago’s East Side, Calumet City and Richton Park until the deli’s closing in 1995. Past member of the American Legion.  Husband for 72 years of Susanne nee Szymanski. Father of Paul P (Lori) Szczepkowski. Grandfather of Matthew (Cassandra) Szczepkowski and Justin Szczepkowski. Great grandfather of Jace, Jaxon and Jetson Szczepkowski. Son of the late Mary nee Laneski and Edward Szczepkowski. Brother of Annemarie (Jim) Guzior and the late George and (late Rita) Szczepkowski. Uncle and friend of many. Family and friends will meet at St Veronica Parish (formerly Infant Jesus of Prague), 1131 Douglas, Flossmoor on Tuesday April 10, 2025 from 10:30 am until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 am.
