Ruggero Mazzon age 94. Longtime Calumet City resident, formerly of Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. Born and raised in Villa del Conte, Padova, Italy. Retired Route Salesman for Torino Baking Company with over 20 years of service. Member of Teamsters Local 734 and Lansing Counsel Knights of Columbus. Veteran of WW II, serving for the Italian Military as the war began, and later proudly served the Allied Forces as the War came to an end. Husband of the late Antoinetta nee Ruffato. Father of Nadia Missaggia and Franco (late Patricia) Mazzon. “Nonno” of Sabrina (Michael) Murino, Natalie (Aditya) Devalla, Elizabeth (Brad) Aguayo, Angela (Andrew) Sedacki, Erica (Brian) Hrabovsky and Anthony (Brandi) Mazzon. “Bis Nonno” of Logan, Luca, Bradley, Blake, Thomas, Victoria, Andrea, Morgan, MeKenzie, Macie, Miley, Ellie, Bellamy, Cali, Jaxon and Emersyn. Brother of Nerso (Angela) Mazzon and the late Dima (late Santo) Mazzeo and Espiretto (Nancy) Mazzon. Uncle and dear friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Tuesday October 2nd from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends and family will meet at St. Anthony Church, 11533 S Prairie Ave., Chicago, Wednesday morning for 9:00 AM visitation until time of funeral mass at 9:30 AM.
