William C. Differding, age 69, resident of Olympia Fields, formerly of Park Forest. A graduate of Rich East High School class of 1971, he attended College of St Francis in Joliet and was proprietor of Ready Electric for over 20 years, as well as being a third-generation member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 134. Bill was happiest when spending time with family, his vegetable garden, train sets, and visiting national parks. Husband of Linda nee McDonald for 38 years, father of Kelly (Brendan) Barrett, Patrick (Ying) Differding, Moira and Virginia Differding. Grandfather of Maren and Fia Barrett and Finn Differding. Son of Claire nee Cushing and the late Charles J. "Chuck" Differding. Brother of James (Dr James Dickes), Virginia Differding, Nancy (Frank) Jones, Paul (Laura) Differding, Susan (Jerry) Niendorf, Sally (Craig) Berry, Michael (late Dana) Differding, and the late John "Jack" (Barbara) Differding. Uncle to many nieces and nephews and friend to many. Memorial Visitation at Panozzo Bros Funeral Home, 530 W 14th St (US Rt 30, 3 blks east of Western Ave, Chicago Heights on Tuesday May 9th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with friends and family meeting at St Veronica Parish, 1131 Douglas, Flossmoor on Wednesday for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill's name to "Catholic Charities Food Pantry at St Irenaeus" would be appreciated by the Differding family.     Bill is my great pal! We had always had such fun together for 50 years. Thanks for that! 
    Bill's a great Historian and a man full of pertinent information and inspiration. We know we have lots in common and we always appreciate that fact! Even our both being human. Really gonna miss ya for a while.

    Worked with Bill at J Thomas Elect in the 80's . We were also fellow  far south suburbanites , would see him from time to time before I left Illinois for Michigan .Was a great guy to work with , always had a positive outlook .

    Thanks Bill. Union Brother. Forever friends. Northern Lights in Door County. Fun exciting country roads drives. Highschool antics. Seeing you on the rings in gymnastics. Use of your suit , in a time of need. Like you had said, a warm handshake.
